We have documented the struggles of Melcher-Dallas Senior Runner J’Lyn Knutson. She has had to deal with a hip flexor injury last fall, just when that was seemingly healed up, COVID-19 hit and wiped out her spring season in track and field, only to have the injury rear its ugly head over the summer. Knutson tells KNIA Sports through it all, she has been careful not to let it get her down, and focus on the positives.

Knutson:
“Every time making to state is special, but this time was really special and was a journey. Getting past COVID and the injury, I just had to stay positive through all of it.”
