The PCM football team took care of business in its round of 16 matchup Friday evening with a 42-0 win at home over Greene County. The Mustangs jumped out to a quick 14-0 first quarter lead with touchdowns from Gatlin Boell through the air and from Auggie Stock on the ground.

The second quarter started with a 78-yard punt return touchdown by Landon Fenton. A Sage Burns score capped off the first half scoring. The second half started with an 80-yard kickoff return touchdown by Jacob Van Winkle. Stock added another score in the fourth to complete the scoring. Head Coach Greg Bonnett says that it was an impressive win against a talented opponent.

The Mustang defense forced four turnovers on the evening to aid in the effort. PCM moves to 9-0 overall and advances to next week’s state quarterfinals at West Marshall, with the winner heading to the UNI-Dome. That game will air live on 92.1 KRLS with pregame coverage at 6:30, and the opening kickoff from State Center at 7:00.
