The Pella Boys Cross Country Squad finished fourth overall at the class 3A State Cross Country Meet on Friday in Fort Dodge.The Little Dutch scored 157 points, which was just four points ahead of North Polk and eight points behind third place Carlisle. Dallas Center-Grimes ran away from everyone with 87 team points. Pella was led by Tony Schmitz in tenth place earning him All-State in a time of 16:45.

The No. 11 ranked Pella Girls placed eighth with 214 points, just four behind seventh place Harlan. Ballard won the title with 66 points and had the individual state champion and runner-up. Pella was led over the line by Jacie Trine in 27th place with a time of 20:21.

Knoxville had two individuals who competed in the class 3A field. Norah Pearson finished 17th in the girls race with a time of 19:49 while Seth Walraven crossed the finish line in 77th in the boys race with a time of 17:42.

The Indianola Girls Cross Country Squad finished 15th at the State Class 4A Cross Country Meet in Fort Dodge on Friday. The Indians scored 367 points led over the line by Emily Naughton’s 19th place finish in a time of 19:27. Knoxville had two individuals who competed in the class 3A field. Norah Pearson finished 17th in the girls race with a time of 19:49 while Seth Walraven crossed the finish line in 77th in the boys race with a time of 17:42.
