The PCM football team is making will second UNI-Dome appearance in three seasons when they travel to Cedar Falls tonight to take on #4 Waukon. The teams will square off in the second semifinal in Class 2A, which is also the final game of the weekend in the dome. The Indians are making their third straight appearance in Cedar Falls, bowing out in last year’s title game to champion OABCIG. Head Coach Greg Bonnett says that his team is facing a perennial power in Waukon, and expects an intense matchup between teams with several playmakers.

After facing the #2 offense in Class 2A last week, PCM will face the #6 team by yardage tonight. The Mustangs will look to contain dual-threat quarterback Creed Welch, who accounts for around two-thirds of the team’s total offense. The Indians commonly go for two rather than kicking extra points, so PCM will try to gain the advantage by holding Waukon under 50 percent in that department.

Tonight’s game will air live on 95.3 KNIA and the KRLS3 stream with Jon Mohwinkle and Jeff Lindsay calling the action. Pregame coverage begins at 7:00, with the opening kickoff from Cedar Falls scheduled for 7:30. The winner heads to the 2A title game next week to face either Camanche or Central Lyon.
