The latest update of COVID-19 cases in Indianola shows a growth of 28 cases within city limits and an additional seven not within city limits but inside the Indianola fire district since the November 16th update, for a total of 504 cases within the city and 140 inside the fire district, for a total of 644 cases to affect the area since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County has seen a growth of 125 cases since the November 16th update for a total of 2,292 cases to affect the county. There are over 1,100 active cases in the county with 1,115, continually breaking the highest active case total since the beginning of November.

Just over halfway through the month, November has seen a growth of 953 cases, easily surpassing the previous highest monthly total of 361 in October. Warren County has nine deaths from the virus.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that is a factor in indicating schools should move to remote learning. As of Wednesday, Warren County is over the threshold at 18.8%, while Marion County is over at 24.1%. There are 93 counties in Iowa currently over the threshold.
