NASCAR is coming to Knoxville. The NASCAR Gander RV Truck Series will hold an event at the Knoxville Raceway on July ninth. The NASCAR Truck Series is one of the top three NASCAR national touring series and has held a dirt race at the Eldora Raceway for the last five years, but was not able to hold the race this season due to the pandemic. The event will be held the same weekend as the Corn Belt Clash, formerly the Corn Belt Nationals with the USAC (YOU-sack) non-wing cars on July tenth along with the weekly Knoxville 410 sprint cars. Raceway Director John McCoy says it is an honor to host a NASCAR Touring Series event at the Knoxville Raceway.
