The Pella School Board will hold their annual organizational meeting this afternoon. The board will elect a president and vice president, appoint a board secretary and treasurer, and designate an official publication and legal counsel.

A public hearing will be held to review the process for the school calendar, with a recommendation to continue counting instruction hours when drafting the schedule. The board will also review administrators’ reports, the district’s Title IV response policy, and the 400 series in the district handbook. A work session will also be held to hear a presentation about the status of the budget heading into the next fiscal year.

Following regular business, the board will review the district’s learning plan and the latest absentee data due to COVID-19.
