During Policy and Planning following their most recent regular meeting, the Pella City Council indicated they are in favor of adjusting the start time of their regular sessions. Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says council intends to keep council meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of the month; however, the majority of council members at policy and planning seem to favor starting meetings at 6 p.m. The change needs to be formally concerned in a resolution at an upcoming meeting as a procedural rules change, and the soonest the new start time would take effect is the second meeting in January.
