The Pleasantville wrestling team competed in their first triangular tournament of the season, coming away with a dual victory over Martensdale-St. Mary’s, 40-36. They also dropped their dual to Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas, 48-30.

 

Pleasantville came away with a total of four match victories against Martensdale-St. Mary’s by fall at 126 lbs, 138 lbs, and 170 lbs. The wrestlers that came out on top were Dillen Ammons, Kitt Lundy, and Trevor Nickel. Caleb Cook won by decision at 126 lbs.

 

The Trojans also came away with four victories by fall against Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas. They were Devon Luing at 120 lbs, Cook at 126 lbs, Lundy at 132 lbs, and Swanson at 195 lbs. Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas had seven wins by fall. One of those wrestlers is from Melcher-Dallas–Cole Metz at 152 lbs.

Pleasantville’s next tournament will be the Coach Riley Invitational at Nodaway Valley High School on Saturday.
