The Pella Public Library is joining others across the state in going fine-free on January 1st.

Existing charges for overdue fines will remain on patron accounts per the previous policy, but new overdue fines will no longer be incurred.

Those with overdue materials will be paused, which means no new checkouts or use of online services. This change in policy is intended to reduce barriers to using the Library’s
resources and encourage reading throughout the community.
