indianola-3

Having faced not only some of the top teams in the state of Iowa but some of the top teams from across state lines, the Indianola wrestling team has prepared themselves in the 2020 portion of their schedule as best they could. Indians head coach Clint Manny tells KNIA Sports getting his top guys experience early on is big for their continued development.

“Earlier this year we had Don Bosco, the top 1A team in the state year after year, Liberty out of Missouri, their class 4A state champs and they’ll repeat this year I have no doubt, and MIllard South one one of the top teams out of the Nebraska-Omaha area. All in our gym on the same day. It’s been great for us, especially our high-level kids, the kids that have their goals to be on the podium in February.”

The Indians will get back to action on January 7th for their first road contest at Grinnell in Little Hawkeye Conference action.
