The PCM boys basketball team just evened up their record at 6-6 following a blowout win at Fairfield on Monday, but they aren’t satisfied with being average. They want to be great.

They believe that putting in the extra work and building a positive team atmosphere will benefit them when the playoffs come around. In a conversation with the teams’ starting five, senior Andrew Mitchell says that the team has their sights set on winning when it matters most.

“I mean wins are great, but really no wins in the regular season matter. It comes down to when the playoffs start and how we have developed as a team because only three or four of us five have played together but one year. So we’re just trying to get some team development, some chemistry. Really all that matters.”

PCM will host Nevada on Friday starting at 6:00 and then go to Pella for a Saturday double header against the Dutch and can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS starting at 1:30.
