The Indianola wrestling team fell short against Pella in Little Hawkeye Conference action Thursday evening 39-36. The Indians got wins by fall from Bowen Downey at 106lbs, Sean Cunningham at 170lbs, Walker Whalen at 195lbs, and Jaylin Smith at 220lbs, while Cael Meacham at 120lbs won via major decision, Ryder Downey at 138lbs won by technical fall, and Isaiah Kellow won at 182lbs by decision. Sean Cunningham tells KNIA Sports this is the time of the year the Indians need to start putting in the work to peak during postseason time, and hopefully make a trip to Wells Fargo Arena. The Indians will next wrestle in a tournament at Ankeny tomorrow.
