The Pella City Council is holding a public hearing to approve a contract for east interchange infrastructure improvements at their meeting this evening.

Council will consider bids from eight different contractors for construction of a submersible lift station and association improvements on 250th Avenue south of Highway 163. City Project Engineer Veenstra & Kimm estimated the cost to be $819,310.

A contract and bond for $1.273 million is also on the agenda for approximately 2,000 service drops for Pella Fiber to be installed by the end of October.

Council will also schedule two public hearings for future meetings, including a date to approve a contract for Wonder Spelen at Kiwanis Park and for an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan with Lely North America for their new headquarters.
