The Knoxville Police Department will make position changes at the end of January. Officers Chris Rowland and Skyler Verros will be promoted to the position of Sergeant. Chief Aaron Fuller says this is part of a reorganization phase that should set the department up for success in the future.

“The department went into a reorganization phase where we created positions and promoted two officers to Sergeant. We also created a criminal investigator position. All of that will take effect at the end of January. Hopefully then we can solidify our reorganization and not have to do that for a while.”

This is a new position for the department, and Fuller says that it will include more administrative duties, along with typical duties of an officer. Hear more from Chief Fuller here.
