The Indianola boys swimming team will compete against the Newton, Grinnell, and Oskaloosa swimming teams in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet today at the Indianola YMCA, their first competition in over a week. Action starts tonight at 5:15pm.

The Indianola wrestling squad will host Oskaloosa in a Little Hawkeye Conference dual this evening. The Indians are undefeated in dual matchups so far this season, and facing a more diversified schedule may have a hand in that. Junior Walker Whalen tells KNIA Sports the Indians have learned a lot from facing teams they might not normally face.

“Seeing new faces, like out of state guys that you won’t see normally during the year. And good competition always helps you to get better, it pushes you and you see new styles of wrestling. It’s always a benefit.

The Wrestling squad begins action at 7:30pm.
