The Norwalk wrestling team will hit the road this evening for what could be their biggest test of the season. They’ll join Waukee in visiting Dowling Catholic for a triangular.

Three Norwalk wrestlers are ranked in The Predicament’s latest Class 3A rankings. Senior Grant Harbour is #8 at 132, senior Cade Schmidt is 4th at 160, and sophomore Maddux Borcherding-Johnson is 3rd at heavyweight. All three of Norwalk’s ranked wrestlers will face a ranked opponent.

Dowling Catholic is not ranked as a team, but brings in four ranked wrestlers. It’ll be a ranked match at 160 when Schmidt takes on #10 Max Derry. Waukee is ranked #3 as a team, and has nine individuals ranked. It’ll be a ranked matchup at 132 and heavyweight.

Tonight’s triangular begins at 5:30 p.m. at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines.
