As the Pella Christian girls basketball team enjoys their final bye of the winter season, they find themselves in a strong position to have advantageous postseason positioning and play spoiler in the second rotation of the Little Hawkeye Conference.

The Eagles have won four games in a row and stand at 8-5 overall — matching their best start to a season since 2017-18. However, despite a 3-4 conference mark, a daunting road lies ahead as Pella Christian has matchups with ranked Indianola, Grinnell, and Dallas Center-Grimes looming between now and when the postseason brackets are released.

Head Coach Brad Engbers says he’s hopeful his team can bounce back and not only compete better the second time with the teams, but they fully intend to play spoiler and try to pull off an upset.
