pleasantville-3

Pleasantville’s wrestling team will travel to Central Decatur for a quad tournament matchup with the host, Albia and Davis County tonight.

The Trojans are on the upswing as they finished 4-1 in their Trojan Duals tournament Saturday, with their only loss coming to Albia. Coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA Sports that his team’s love for the sport separates them from the rest of the teams in the state.

“What I do know is that we have a group of kids that love the sport and come in every day and work their tails off. Just for me personally, from previous years we had that but it wasn’t a whole team buy-in. This year, it is a whole team buy-in. There are 24 guys and gals bing in so it is awesome to see this program going in the right direction.”

DeForest also states that his team will be working on basics and fundamentals as the season starts to wind down.

The Trojans’ quad tournament at Central Decatur will begin at 5:30 PM.
