Indianola Mayor Pam Pepper swore in three Indianola Police Officers at the Indianola City Council meeting Tuesday evening, part of a budget priority set by the council several years ago to hire more safety officers for the city. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News during a staffing study in 2017, it was found the city was understaffed by six firefighters and four police officers, to not only meet the needs of the community now but in the future, and the council approved a phase-in plan for the budget to take place over several years, and will continue into next year.
