The Melcher-Dallas boys basketball team ended their season with a 59-55 loss at Sigourney, but it was a historic night for Ryan Krpan as he eclipsed 1,000 career points Friday night.

Krpan was second on the team in scoring with 18 points behind Lane VanderLinden, who had 19. The Melcher-Dallas senior becomes the first to eclipse 1,000 points since Chase Wetterling in 2015. He is also the third Saint since 1999 to break the mark. The other player was BJ Wells, who passed the 1,000 point threshold in 2005.

The Saints will finish the regular season with a 9-9 overall record and a 5-4 Bluegrass Conference Record. Melcher-Dallas will travel to North Mahaska for their first playoff game of 2021, which begins at 7:00 PM Monday night.
