Despite warmer air settling into the region, winter will keep its grip on south central Iowa for at least another day.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Widespread snow amounts between 2-4″ are expected during that time. Travel will be most difficult in the afternoon.

Much warmer air will continue to dominate the region after the snow, as daytime highs will stay above 30 all week, and approach 40 on Monday and Tuesday.
