The Simpson women’s basketball team recovered from a slow start to win in American Rivers Conference play Saturday on the road at Loras 98-91 to stay undefeated. The Storm fell behind in the first quarter 28-18, but outscored the Duhawks 25-10 in the second quarter to lead 43-38 at the halftime break. The Storm would go on to outscore the Duhawks throughout the second half, and would salt away the game with stellar free throw shooting going 26-33 from the line. Jenna Taylor dropped 21 to lead the Storm, one of five players in double figures. Simpson improves to 6-0 on the season and 5-0 in conference play, and will next hit the court Monday at Luther.
