The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has released rainbow trout in Banner Lake South in Indianola as part of their cool weather trout program. The program brings trout to areas that cannot support them during the summer, and is an attempt to bring trout fishing closer to Iowa residents who may not be able to travel to more ideal river spots.
