Melcher-Dallas’ golf team has gone through a couple weeks of practice, and will now begin to finish up preparing for their first meets of the season.

For the Saints’ girls, the main golfer to keep an eye on is senior Kynser Reed, who last time stepped on the course was a state-qualifying golfer. The girls’ first meet of the season is next Friday when they travel to the Preserve on Rathbun Lake at Moravia. The meet begins at 4 PM.

The Saints’ boys will be operating with six juniors and one sophomore in their lineup, including returning starter Pierce Chiabotta. The boys’ first meet of the season is April 13, when they take a short road trip to Shady Oaks in Ackworth to compete with Pleasantville, Southeast Warren, I-35, and Martensdale-St. Mary’s. The meet will begin at 4 PM.
