Indianola Parks and Rec has a full slate of activities planned for the spring and summer, with either alterations or additional safety requirements added to make them as safe as possible. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News she is grateful for the hard work by city staff to plan these events, and this summer feels much better than what we experienced last year.
“It just feels like for so long here the phones didn’t ring. We just were planning, and hoping, and waiting just like everyone else, just waiting. Well the wait is over and there are people back in the activity center, older adults are back doing their exercise classes again, and it’s starting to feel a lot more like normal. A lot more like normal. We are thankful, and just grateful for the opportunity.”
