The Knoxville Boys and Girls Tennis Squads play today in separate locations. The boys travel to Centerville to open up the South Central Conference portion of their schedule, while the girls will host the Reddetts at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts. The Panthers are looking to get off to a good start against a quality conference opponent. Coach Nick DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS Sports today begins the evaluation of what he needs to do to set up his line ups when the conference meet is played.

DeMoss:
“We’re going to try to be competitive and I’m going to see where we can best challenge for a conference title and hopefully send some girls to state, because that is always the goal.”

The boys are at Centerville coming off a 9-1 loss to North Polk last week. Over at Ken Locke Stadium, the Panther Boys Soccer Squad will be hosting Albia for its conference opener. The Panthers are coming off a 5-1 setback to Bondurant-Farrar on Tuesday. The Blue Demons come in at 1-0 after a 4-0 win over Pella Christian on Monday.
