A Knoxville native has announced his intention to run for Iowa Governor. Joshua Kuhn-McRoberts currently works for a mortgage company, and wants to represent Iowans in the state’s highest office.

“I want to run for governor because I want to see growth in Iowa. I want to see 21st Century change, I want to see students who are born and raised in Iowa to stay in Iowa, to fight the brain drain, to have good-paying jobs, blue collar, white collar, whatever it may be. Good-paying jobs that will help Iowans, especially the young ones, to keep them here, to keep the population growing, and our tax base growing, and all of that.”

Kuhn-McRoberts graduated from Knoxville High School, Wartburg College, and Drake University, with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. The next Iowa gubernatorial election will be held in November 2022, with the primary election being held in June.
