There have been six new cases of COVID-19 reported in Marion County to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database over the past week. The Iowa Department of Public Health considers 44 cases active and infectious, and one resident is hospitalized locally with the virus. As of Monday, 8,844 individuals were fully vaccinated, with 1,758 receiving the first dose of a two shot series, meaning 10,602 Marion County residents have some protection from COVID-19 locally.
