The Pleasantville Police Department has completed an investigation after receiving information on possible stalking and witness tampering. 75-year-old Pat Bennett faces charges of stalking and witness tampering after allegedly attempting to alter the testimony of a witness in criminal proceedings involving 50-year-old Chad Bennett, a family member of Pat. Chad Bennett is in custody awaiting trial on a sexual abuse charge. The witness is a juvenile.

According to court documents, Pat Bennett, on numerous occasions, attempted to make contact with the witness by following the witness with her vehicle on her way home from school. The juvenile would take off running in an attempt to flee from Bennett.

A no-contact order was requested by the juvenile against Pat Bennett. She was taken into custody, and is being held on a $17,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 6th.
