Pleasantville Boys Track 7th, Girls Track 9th in Conference Tournament

Pleasantville’s track squads finished seventh and ninth, respectively, at the West Central Conference Tournament Meet at Van Meter Tuesday.

The Trojans’ boys finished with 36 total points, finishing ahead of Odgen, Woodward-Granger, and West Central Valley. Pleasantville had one top-five finish in the meet, which came from Matthew Kauffman in the shot put with a length of 43’6”.

Pleasantville’s girls finished with 28 points, placing ahead of Woodward-Granger and West Central Valley. The Trojans had one top-two finish in the meet, which came from Kaylee Hodenfield in the shot put with a length of 34’9.5”.

Both of Pleasantville’s squads will be back in action Thursday as both squads travel to Newton. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.

Pleasantville Boys Golf Conference Tournament Preview

Pleasantville’s Boys Golf squad will be competing in the West Central Conference Tournament today at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora.

The Trojans are coming off finishing second in an 18-hole triangular with Carlisle and Melcher-Dallas Friday. The Trojans’ low golfer of the meet was Jake Hiemstra, who scored an 89. Larry Remster was second on Pleasantville in scoring with a 93. This meet will be the first of a back-to-back, as they travel to Nodaway Valley Thursday.

The meet will begin at Lake Panorama National Golf Course at 9:00 AM.
