Two South Central Conference Champions were won on Monday and Knoxville was able to snag both as the girls golf squad carded a team total 421 to win the conference title by 12 strokes over Clarke while the boys tennis squad rolled to an SCC title at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts. Gabe Matthias won the conference title in singles while Andrew Orr placed 4th. In doubles, the team of Carter Short and Jaxon Zuck placed 2nd, while Nate Crane and Grant Liston finished in 4th place. There are more conference meets today for Knoxville as the boys golfers head to Edmondson in Oskaloosa and the girls host the conference tennis meet at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts.

It was a double Panther victory on the pitch at Ken Locke Stadium Monday night, as the girls soccer squad only needed 20 minutes of action to overwhelm Clarke 13-0. Taylor Jones with four and Hanna Linsley with three got hat tricks. Linsely’s came in 3:14 as she scored three straight goals. Other goals were scored by Melody Torres, Emily Dean, Ava VanDonselaar, Leah Watson, and Marley McKay. The boys had a little bit more of a challenge but still came out on top 4-2. Tyler Kearney, Jay Kellar, Colby Sandholdt, and Emmett Schmidt all tallied goals for Knoxville. The girls are off until May 20th when they travel to Chariton, while the boys will host Pella on Friday.
