Knoxville finished 6th at the class 3A State Boys Golf Tournament on Friday with a two round total of 692, and were ten shots out of 4th place. Evan Smith led the Panthers with a second round 76, improving his first round score by two shots to total of 156 good enough for 8th overall. Carson Uitermarkt finished up 29th with a two round 175, Kail Arkema was 37th with a two round 180, Beau Leisure 47th with a 184, Jace Nichols carded a 198 for 65th and Mason Hatch was 68th with a 216. Pella’s Will Simpson playing as an individual carded a second round 76 for a total of 154 to finish in 7th place overall. Simpson was two shots better than his first round score of 78.
