George’s Pizza and Steakhouse in Pella was one of four organizations and businesses recognized for helping others through the COVID-19 pandemic. Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance Executive Director Karen Eischen says the restaurant was honored because of how it pivoted to online ordering and delivery at a time where the food industry was significantly hampered by a lack of in-person guests. George’s Pizza was honored with Families First of Pella, Hearthstone, and Triumph Martial Arts with a Standing Ovation award from the PACE Alliance.
