The Indianola YMCA and MCNA Dental partnered to host a workshop on oral health Wednesday, educating kids and families about the importance of establishing healthy oral care at an early age. Sabrina Johnson with MCNA tells KNIA News not only is it important for kids to know how to take care of their teeth, teaching the parents how to set good dental care habits early in childhood can go a long way.

Kids were able to receive prizes and dental health equipment, along with meeting the Tooth Fairy. The event was part of the MCNA Dental Smile Tour, traveling to 18 other locations across the state of Iowa. To learn more about the tour, click below.
