Two big games will keep both sides of Panther Drive busy tonight as Knoxville heads back to South Central Conference play hosting Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. The baseball Panthers are looking for a measure of revenge over the class 2A #9 Rockets after EBF swept a twin bill from the Panthers early in the season. This begins a tough week for Knoxville against teams that are either ranked for have been ranked at some point this season. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they can deal with wins and loses as long as they play a clean game and give themselves a chance to win.

Devore:
“If we can just continue to play clean baseball, and we can handle whatever the scoreboard says if we can play a clean game. If we don’t do those things that’s when it becomes frustrating and we have a bunch of freshmen and sophomores that we’re trying to get to play a clean game.”

Across the street on Panther Drive, the suddenly surging softball squad is hosting the class 3A #5 Rockets. Knoxville felt it threw one away in Eddyville early in the season, which got the Panthers in an early season hole in the conference race. A win tonight would re-insert Knoxville into the South Central Conference race. Both games are scheduled to start at around 7:30 with the baseball game live on 95.3 KNIA starting with the pregame at 7:15.
