Both Knoxville Softball and Baseball Squads were defeated by the rain last night along Panther Drive. The softball Panthers game was suspended in the bottom of the 3rd inning with Knoxville leading Centerville 5-1 with a runner on second base. Centerville got the lead early in the top of the 1st, but Knoxville responded with an RBI groundout by Ashlyn Finarty helping her own cause in the circle. The big blow came in the 2nd inning when Brittany Bacorn sent a two run bomb out to left field.

Meanwhile, on the baseball side of Panther Drive it was in the 4th inning of the first game of a double header tied at one between Knoxville and the Big Reds. Jaxon Zuck had the only RBI of the game. No official word on when either softball or baseball will continue the games. Both Panther squads will entertain Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont tonight, weather pending the softball game can be heard on 95.3 KNIA
