The Knoxville Baseball Squad embarks on its final three regular season games this week with a trip to Fairfield on Monday. The Panthers stand at 17-17 on the season and look to build momentum and confidence heading into Friday’s class 3A Substate. Fairfield comes in at 10-18 but Panthers Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the Trojans have been playing better in the last couple weeks.

Devore:
“Fairfield has been playing well lately, and it’ll be tough over there and they have a short porch where routine fly balls are home runs, and it’s going to be tough because we’re playing varsity first with the lighting situation.”

That lighting issue is due to the Trojans field lights do not work, and they are required to play varsity first. After Fairfield, Knoxville returns home to its final home game of the season against Dowling Catholic on Tuesday, and winds up the regular season Wednesday at Saydel.
