The Indianola baseball team are winners of 9 of their last 11 contests, and are looking to continue their hot streak into postseason play against the Scarlets of Des Moines East in district play tonight. The Indians defeated the Scarlets in a previous doubleheader matchup in late May 11-3 and 9-2, however the Indians are not taking East lightly. Senior Connor Howard tells KNIA Sports DM East is a talented team that they know fairly well.

“We are ready for them. They have a talented pitcher that we have seen in spring ball, but I think we can handle him like we have been doing all season long, so we are ready.”
