The Indianola City Council approved the third of three readings of multiple city ordinances at their meeting Monday, enacting the ordinances officially into city code. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the ordinances deal with updates and upgrades to the city’s zoning code, site plan, and several other regulations regarding businesses. Waller said the new ordinances are a big part of the vision of the city’s comprehensive plan titled Elevate Indianola, and a lot of work goes in behind the scenes from volunteers on the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment before anything comes to the city council.
