Following the recent assassination of the President of Haiti, a local non-profit organization is continuing its operations on the island nation despite the political unrest and violence.

Tim Brand is executive leader of Many Hands for Haiti, and says their operation is moving forward in its rural location despite the turmoil in the more population-heavy areas of the country. Brand says political violence is unfortunately the norm for Haiti, which causes economic instability for so many, but he remains hopeful about the strength of their campus and the benefits seen locally among those they support.
