A Pella High School student has interacted with peers from around the world as her skills have grown in Taekwondo. Emmalee Spurgeon will be a sophomore this fall and is a 3rd degree black belt, spending the past several years learning at Triumph Martial Arts and competing at state, national, and international competitions. Spurgeon is traveling to Phoenix, Arizona, to compete for a world championship next week.
