Pleasantville’s boys basketball team dropped their seventh out of eight games to the No. 7 in Class 2A Lions, but they didn’t go down without a fight and an impressive individual performance.
Mason Scheve had a career-high 35 points, including eight three-pointers–one off from the school record, against a Des Moines Christian team that was just three days removed from a stunning win over eventual 3A state champions Pella.
Scheve was a 1st team All-West Central Conference honoree this winter and a Class 2A All-Substate choice from the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association. He averaged 18.8 points per game for the Trojans in his junior season.
