The Simpson Storm men’s soccer team had a shot at a winning record to play for in their last game of the season hosting first-place Loras College, with the potential undefeated conference championship on the line for the Duhawks. After falling behind in the first half 2-0, the outlook did not look favorable to the Storm against the overpowering Loras defense. However a pair of second half goals from Enrique Idehen, Jordy Triana-Vasquez tied the score at two, then after Loras got the lead back, a goal from Mason Madren in the 87th minute tied the score at three, and the Storm held on in two overtime periods to play spoiler to Loras and clinch a 3-2-2 record.
