PCM’s cross country team will have to wait another week for their first meet of the season as their season-opening meet in Knoxville was cancelled due to extreme heat.

The Mustangs will have their first meet of the season August 31 at the Williamsburg Recreation Center in Williamsburg. PCM will be competing with 18 other teams in their first major meet of the season. The Mustangs will be the only Heart of Iowa Conference team that will be competing, but other teams competing include Lynnville-Sully, South Tama, and Montezuma. With excessive heat in the forecast for the next week, it will be a hard week of practice for the Mustangs to prepare for their first meet.

PCM’s meet at Williamsburg August 31 will be at 4:30 PM.
