indianola-3

The Indianola boys golf and the Indians volleyball squad are in action today. The boys golf squad is making the road trip to the Ottumwa Country Club to compete against the host Bulldogs along with eight other schools, tee-off is at noon. The Indianola volleyball squad is fresh off of a win on the road at Pella in Little Hawkeye Conference play, and now travel back to the Tulip City to take on Pella Christian. Head coach Kent Halstead says the Indians don’t have a lot of height this year, which allows them to take advantage in other areas.
“We just have to play a fast game. We need to play fast, serve fast, do all of those things so we can beat the block sometimes. If we set a high outside set which is called a five, and the block is going to be there, it’s going to be tougher for us. So we have to play faster than the other team, and it’s more fun to watch anyway.”
Action starts tonight at 7:15pm.
