The Pella Youth Coalition is hosting a national speaker to discuss alcohol and drug use in teens. Chris Sandy is traveling the country trying to help teens, young adults, and families make positive choices, learn to cope with difficult situations, and understand how choices matter. Sandy will be speaking to schools in Pella, Knoxville, Pella Christian, and Twin Cedars and is hosting a public seminar on Thursday, September 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the Pella High School Auditorium. Sandy speaks about consequences that last forever and regret that never goes away. Combining straightforward confessions and the perspective of youth, he aims to communicate the importance of making the right choices in life, especially those choices that involve alcohol or drugs.
