PCM’s volleyball squad’s early-season struggles continue as they lose to Greene County, three sets to one, extending their losing streak to four.
The only set the Mustangs won was the second set, which was a 25-14 triumph. PCM lost the other three sets 24-26, 14-25, and 8-25. The loss drops PCM to 5-10 on the season and 1-2 in Heart of Iowa Conference Play. The only conference victory the Mustangs have this season was against Saydel. PCM has also lost six of their last seven matches, with their only win coming against Hudson in the BCLUW tournament this past weekend. Coach Mike Vittetoe states that the team’s hitting efficiency needs to go up to turn it around.
“As far as overall play, we have to be more consistent. We are just making too many unforced errors. Our hitting efficiency is not where it needs to be. We have almost as many errors as we do kills and that is not something you want to see.
PCM’s next match will be Thursday, as they go back on the road taking on Heart of Iowa Conference opponent Nevada.
