The Indianola and Norwalk boys and girls cross country teams competed in a loaded meet that will rival the state meet Thursday evening, with the Indians girls placing 13th and the boys in 14th, while the Norwalk girls placed 17th and the boys 6th.

The Indians girls had top finishes from Gracie Foster and Emily Naughton in 24th and 40th respectively, while the boys were paced by Curtis Johnson in 17th, and Logan Hoger in 41st. The Indians squads will next compete Monday at Ballard.

The Warriors boys were led by Donovan Card in 24th and Henry Groos in 37th, while the girls had a top finish from Breelie Mauro in 31st. Norwalk will next hit the course on Tuesday at Valley.

The Indianola girls swimming team defeated Perry 105-61 in their home opener at the Indianola YMCA Thursday. First place finishes included:
200 Freestyle – Jorja Culver
100 Freestyle – Jorja Culver
200 Freestyle Relay – Olivia Ramaeker, Natalie Parkins Julian Bacon, Jorja Culver

The Indians will next swim on Thursday hosting Southeast Polk at the Indianola YMCA.
