The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. They received a presentation from the Iowa Chamber Alliance regarding potential future federal and state grant opportunities, with a proposal coming at a future meeting. They approved courthouse grounds special event applications for Girls Night Out hosted by Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, a POW-MIA event hosted by Carole Rowland, and a Farm 2 Table Dinner hosted by Iowa State University Extension & Outreach. They approved a site plan for Crossroads Gospel Church, with a new location at 1716 Highway 5, rural Knoxville. They approved a Road Department entrance policy, which makes property owners responsible for the installation of driveways. They motioned to direct supervisor Kisha Jahner to secure a market appraisal for county-owned property at 113-117 S Third Street in Knoxville.
